I applied for the BW card back in july or august for the 60K promo, I still only received 40K.

But thanks for this thread, I can use this next month on vacation.

Easiest way to find out is to try making bookings for the dates you like. I just tried for Dec. 27-29, and found lots of hotels with rooms available, for 10k points a night. You can try for the nights you like.

I am best western Diamond and stayed at various N.A hotels and my experience has been very very good. various upgrades, great rooms. These are not 5-star hotels, but still great hotels.

My wife got 60K, I got 40K. They lied that I did not apply through a proper link even though I sent a screenshot that I did. It's a popular scam they are pulling. You are not alone and A TON of people have or had the same issue. I couldn't prove it and just let it go

Anyone applied for the MBNA card twice? I canceled mine 2 months ago. Typically 6 months is ideal, but some cards are ok to reapply after 1-3 months. Just curious to see if anyone tried.

I opened my 6th MBNA BWR card this past summer.
Mind sharing how long you kept the card before cancelling and how long you waited before re-applying again? Thanks !

Sharing our churning frequency for this card won't matter any more, since MBNA are not as willing to allow you to open multiple concurrent cards anymore, plus they are looking at your recent credit bureau activity with more scrutiny than in the past. Gone are the days when you could open two cards within 2-3 months of each other, and not even cancel. Anyways, I don't remember the exact dates, but I think about it once, and wrote about my timelines in one of the MBNA BWR threads. Generally, in my most recent round I applied for the card in summer 2016 for the 60K promo, cancelled in early 2017 and then reapplied again this summer 2017.

Something I figured out today...can buy extra best western points (1000 for $10 US) and use them for the promotion if you are short points ...(wanted to book 5 nights, only had 46000 points left)

Just a quick heads up to anyone looking to purchase points. I received an email from Best Western rewards indicating that a maximum of only 5,000 points can be purchased while the current 10K/night promo is running:

"I wanted to make you aware you will only be able to purchase a total 5000 points between 11/1/17 and 1/31/18. This is due to the Best Western properties in North America will be 10000 pts per night between 11/1/17 and 1/31/18."

Price per night was almost $600 USD.
Insane value.
