The DCP-L2540DW has auto document feeder. Can't tell if it can duplex scan though.

You can get the refurbish like new printers from brother website for slightly less. You used to be able to get a 25 percent off coupon for signing up for email newsletter too. Not sure if that's still available.

Got my refurb 2540 from their official site with $70 ish all in. Really good machine, a huge upgrade from my previous 3040CN, been really happy with it. I can't really tell the difference between 2520 and 2540 tho, so a brand new 2520 for $110 ish is a warm deal imo.

Nah, you gotta pay way more for the duplex scan function - it starts with this bad boy in Brother's lineup, and is regular-priced at $380:
https://www.brother.ca/en-CA/MFC/5/Prod ... MFCL2740DW

There are supposedly some programs which will merge your two files of the same two-sided document, scanned with an ADF (one file with odd pages, another with even pages) into a single file in correct order - a poor man's duplex scan. I got me a DCP-L2540DW (refurb), so now looking for such a program, haven't found one yet.

Have you tried this software? http://www.simplexrepaginator.com/ It seems like both front and back scans need to be in one single pdf file though?

The refurb version of MFCL2740DW is only $180! With 25% off it'd be $135. Not too bad!

You know those swear jars that you have to put a dollar every times you swear ...
Well when my youngest kid gets home after the daycare and sees that I got a delivery on the doorstep, he says:
- not again dad!!! you have to give me a dollar!!!
So I kind of have a RFD jars at home ... lol.

i got this printer for a year and a half now.

Love it. Toner is cheap. I get them at 123inkcartridges
Regular cost around $20-$25 but I can get them extra 30%-40% cheaper if buying in bulk or group buy.

Print a page with 500 words takes about 5 seconds or less

Need to buy my first toner for this printer. Can you post the link for the toner you have had good results with TDG? Thanks

If anyone is looking for Automatic document feeding function, I just picked this other model for $129 from amazon

https://www.amazon.ca/Brother-DCP-L2540 ... 192&sr=1-1

It does wireless / ADF / android and iOS / and has function that lets you use the ENTIRE toner (it will become lighter), unliike other printer that refuse to print even if u have toner left towards the end.

Also , picked up 4 pack toner for $39 - so $10 bucks a pop for toner. TN-660

I'm currently using this printer and I have no complaints. Got it for the same price last year. Works great. If I really had to nitpick, then I'd say the LCD is not lit.

I can get it 40% off but need to buy at least 10 so far I have 7 people including me.
Shipping fee is $6.
If you buy 2 or 3 of them, shipping is still $6

Thanks again. Is the 6$ for shipping waived if you get enough ppl to group buy or does each person still have to pay the 6$ shipping fee?

Need to buy at least 10 items before I can get 40% off.

$6 can only be waive if I ship it all to my home and have you guys come pick it up (Vancouver)

Since buying 1 toner or 5 toners or 10 toners , it's still $6 shipping fee. I can pay for that.
