Jan 23rd, 2013 12:51 AM #122I ordered the P580 from futureshop on Jan. 12th. At the time the Futureshop price was $549.99, and I had it pricematched to $369 because of Best Buy's price then. Today I called to get a further pricematch. The CSR looked at the original price I was charged ($549.99) and gave me 10% of the difference between that and $249.99 ($30 off). Is my invoice really necessary? Why would I lie about that?

Apologize. Did not realize it was for $550 while back. Anyhow, your got lucky as technically the CSR should only PM the amount you paid and the new lower price because you bought it cheaper and not at $550. Your price should have been $250 -11.3 (10% diff between $363 and $250) = $238.7 + eco and tax. Originally Posted by mnikkel

just got leann, no dice, will try again. LOL she's like "its the lenovo right? i've had alot of calls about this today" lol
just tried again, and got a really awesome guy but still couldn't get it PM he was even willing to check other websites like NCIX, TD, etc. but then he noticed that it was refurbed and was like ya those guys don't have the i5 refurbed he said that if there is atleast 1 in stock call back right away and he will pm for me. lol

Guys! Pay Attention!
No one in this thread has claimed that they were able to do a pre-purchase pricematch with FutureShop against a competitor with no stock. The only claims have been made from people who did a post-purchase pricematch - which means that they had bought the laptop from BestBuy in the last 30 days and called in to get a difference in price.
FutureShop and BestBuy never do pre-purchase pricematches against a competitor that is out of stock. Post-purchase pricematches are a different matter though and even though it is not in their terms and conditions, YMMV and you can sometimes get lucky with a phone rep.
If you did not already buy this laptop from BestBuy a week ago: you are out of luck. I wish the OP would put this information in his first post, instead of having all of us turning into crazed pricematch monkeys.
