Nice way to save a little extra. I wonder if anyone has iPad's on special this week.
Yeah me too looking for ipads.
I almost pulled a trigger for a 16G Ipad 4 for $470 in BB last week, but this one looks sweet. Atleast part of my taxes will be saved.

note your paypal balance might need to be in $CAD dollars for this to work.

Bestbuy/Futureshop do not seem to convert $USD balance to pay for purchases on their site.
PayPal will do the conversion. I get cashback from US sites all the time, only problem is PayPal's exorbitant exchange fees.

10% if you're already buying something just over $400.

How does BB handle PayPal returns?
At some vendors, you can't return in store if paid with PayPal, you have to ship back.

Returns can be done in store.

My Future Shop order using USD paypal balance did not go through, and I suspect it would be the same thing with Best Buy. I have purchased lots of things with CDN$ pricing and the conversion just happening via Paypal, but FS and BB seem to require that the paypal balance be in CDN$ for some stupid reason. It doesn't even say so in their Terms and Conditions fine print, which is pretty frustrating but par for the course with these bozos...

It's pretty trivial to move some money into CDN$ from within Paypal, but it's a pain the arse and a disruption to the joyous shopping experience itself!

$469 minus another $40 would've been amazing. I have a $250 BB gift card I've been sitting on which I could've used too. The only "deal" on a 16gb iPad this week is from Target which comes with a $30 gift card. I might do a PM on that.

i have 2 questions, possibly people with experience from the future shop deal can answer

1) is the $400 before tax or after tax?
2) does the entire amount of >$400 have to be paid for by paypal or is the order amount >$400 enough to qualify? the reason i ask about this is not in the offer terms and conditions but in the general paypal information on the best buy website:
http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/help/paypal ... ypal-ob-en

"You may use up to 2 gift cards in addition to your PayPal account to pay for your order.
When you use both PayPal and gift card(s) to make a purchase, the total amount of the order will be sent through to PayPal but we will still use the gift card’s value towards your order before processing the outstanding balance with PayPal."
however i am not so sure if that will make me not eligible for the offer because i'm not paying the entire $400 through paypal.

i have a gift card for $300 dollars so i would love to use that up, and pay the $100 with paypal and still get the rebate.

Warning - bought a Tab using Futureshop / PayPal credit offer in late Aug and have yet to see any notice of a PayPal credit to my account. Nor was there anything on my receipt indicating a credit would be coming, or when. Asked customer service repeatedly with no clear answers. It's been escalated. Pretty shady way of doing things. Also, I had no CDN or US balance on my PP account - and it just defaulted to my CC. Nice way to sucker folks into a (non) deal.. I suggest you call them first and get clarification on how it works and what you will get.
