(BestDirect.ca)ASUS GeForce GTX 780 Poseidon @ 534.95

Deal Link:
Price:
534.95
What a deal that came cross on my screen !!

I did a comparison as shown below. Bestdirect has the cheapest price without MIR.

NewEgg.ca - $609.99 after $30 MIR.
DirectCanada.com - $568.68 (Another great deal w/o MIR hassle.)
Canadacomputers.com -- $669 after $30 MIR.
Memoryexpress.com - $539.99 after $30 MIR (A great deal but you have to deal with MIR.)

Would rather wait for next generation maxwell 900 series personally since significant power savings and performance increase.
If you're building a rig right now though, I guess you can go with it.

Also, if you want, there's a slightly lower clocked one that is cheaper if people are interested:

Yeah the maxwell 900 series release date is supposed to be September 19th for gtx 980 and 970 so the rumor is. If that's true all cards should drop in price afterwards.

I think they put it on clearance sale because of the new Maxwell 900 is coming.

It causes the system unstable if they don't have the same spec. That's just my experience. It's good to hear that your system works just fine, nuwan32. cheers.

900 series already had benchmark out. Apparently a bit disappointing.

So it is actually not a too bad time to buy 780 or 770 especially GTX770 though.

if going for 770 make sure it's a 4GB card, not 2GB. 2GB is fine on medium to high settings, but the highest max settings in games are starting to require >3GB VRAM for textures.
