There are instructions included in the envelope. I shall summarize them:
In a bowl mix a few drops (maybe as much as will fit onto your pinky finger nail) of liquid dish soap. Use that stuff that was on sale for 50cents last time.
Also add about 1 cup of warm water.
WASH YOUR HANDS! Not that they should be dirty. Any dirt on your fingers is bad news. I had a little pen on my middle finger which made a mess on my first try.
In a clean room, such as the kitchen (eerrr I hope its clean) run the hot water for a few minutes. This will remove dust in the air.
Set your device, mixture, credit card, Qtips, and towel on a stable table.
1) Clean any fingerprints or dirt off the device.
2) Dry your hands
3) Wet the tip of all your fingers in the mixture
4) Peel the screen protector off
5) Place it in the mixture. Don't be afraid to get it wet! Let it go all the way under without touching the sides of the bowl.
6) Once its out give it a good shake. Don't be afraid to get the water everywhere. You want a film of water with visible bubbles, noting more; nothing less.
7) Put it on your device, line everything up. Do a happy dance for a minute or so to help the glue set.
8) Take your credit card and start to squeeze out any water. Do this till there's no more visible water. Use the towel and Qtip to soak up the water that's sitting anywhere.
9) If needed you can peel it up and try again.
10) Let it set for at least an hour. If you don't it will slide and make a mess.

When i put mine on my psp, instead of suing soap and water I used windex. Works like a charm and when you spray it on the protector, jus wipe the excess off with your hand, and spead it to the endges.
Try it this way, it really works good. One problem i went into though is it says to leave it for a min. then use a credit card to take out the bubbles, well i had to wait 30 min for the thing to stick down, but luckely there wasnt much/big bubbles.

How do you tell if your iPod is male or female? What type of protect should I get?

Heatware
The difference between wanting and needing is how you justify it.

Windex has ammonia which is BAD for plastic. It will haze it.

Yes, fine on my PDA. It did however have a lot of pull on the screen. A little water took care of that.

How did everyone pay? Paypal or Visa? The site doesn't seem THAT secure. When I chose the paypal link it brought up paypal for me.. I don't trust logging in that way.

I've applied these to my 60gb video ipod and a friend's 30gb video ipod. Best ipod investment I've ever made. You have to look closely to tell that it's not just a naked ipod. No more scratches, front or back, and no tarnishing of the mirror finish on the back. I'm a VERY satisfied customer of these folks.
Some words of warning about applying these skins: Make sure you use the soapy water and get both sides a little wet. This way, if the sticky side flips over and touches the other side, it won't be permanently stuck, forcing you to order a new one (true story). They've also recommended that when you peel the skin off the backing, peel off and dispose of the parts of the skin that AREN'T used before you peel off the pieces you DO use. Less risk of getting your skin stuck to something other than your ipod.
