Beware of xxsashixx@gmail.com
I bought a Corsair H50 and a pair of Noctua fans from xxsashixx. The fans work fine, but the H50 came without an Intel backplate(which comes in the box when you buy a new H50. It would have been helpful for installing it on my LGA775 board). When I asked him about the backplate, he said "There is the intel bracket" He was just trying to cover up the fact that he didn't provide everything needed to install the H50. I had to find some metal washers to secure the screws behind the motherboard instead of using a backplate.
Also, the pump has a buzzing noise, just like here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDFWvQUwYR0. It's loud enough that I can hear it across the room with the side of my computer still on, and it's worse when I'm sitting right next to it. This is not normal, it is a defect: http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showpost...74&postcount=4 and http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showpost...41&postcount=5 and http://hardforum.com/showpost.php?p=...26&postcount=4
I tried hooking the pump up to a separate 12v power supply outside of a computer case and it still buzzed, so the problem is not my PSU or other components in my system.
I asked him for a refund and he said "I did not know that, rather when I had it working in my system, it was fine" Well, I'm not absolutely sure if he's lying about it having been fine(I think he is), but he should have at least let me know about the missing backplate
xxsashixx, if you're selling something that is defective and does not come with all the necessary parts needed to install it, you need to let the buyer know that information. Otherwise, you're a scammer.
