BFG, EVGA, XFX 7900 GS (which one to get?)
I'm interested in getting the Nvidia 7900. I have around roughly 200 dollars to spend on a new video card and this seemed like the only video card that falls around that price range (unless anyone can suggest a cheaper video out there that has better "bang" for the buck)
However, I see 3 different brands of the 7900 listed NCIX.
My hardware knowledge is lacking. I am wondering what is the difference between all these brands- BFG, EVGA, XFX. The price for this card for all the brands is roughly the same price give or take 10 dollars.
Also, I see a 450mhz and a 500mhz version of the 7900. What does the mhz mean. Is it higher the better or lower the better?
Thanks =)

You might find this article useful: http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=2835
As far as the clockspeeds go, the higher the MHz, the faster the card will be.

+1 for evga. The BFG sucks because of the smaller heatsink.

You shouldn't say BFG sucks just because of the smaller heatsink... they're using the nVidia reference cooler. But certainly props to EVGA for using better heatsinks.

Whatever happened to BFG being the Gamers' Choice?
