BFG Geforce 6200 OC VS. PNY Geforce FX 5600 Ultra - How much better?
For the past couple of years I have been using a PNY Nvidia Geforce FX 5600 Ultra (128 MB) AGP card
I am looking for a 'cheap as possible' decent upgrade. I have ordered a BFG Geforce 6200 OC (128 MB) AGP card which will work out to under $60 after tax and rebates.
Question: Is this a worthwhile upgrade? How much of a performance improvement can I expect to see? I don't need to run FEAR at high detail or anything, just want to see a decent improvement over what I have. I know the 6200 is older and slow but keep in mind I'm looking to save money here. BTW the card is used simply to run the latest games. The 5600 runs Doom3 and Quake4 OK at lower resolutions.
Thanks in advance.

I doubt you'll see much improvement unless you get a good overclock out of the 6200 OC.

Thanks. Is the 6200 OC easy to overclock? I have no interest in investing in additional cooling. I figured the 6200 OC would be better due to SM3 support.
Can anyone else offer their opinions and tips? Also, recommendations for a decent video card upgrade under $100 are appreciated if you guys feel the 6200 OC is not worth getting.
