Big Shout Out to Dealfind
I know lots of people complain about deals gone bad.
I have some roses to give out to Dealfind. After about year of having two coupons from a business, in Calgary, I finally went to use it. The company is now out of business. I wrote a nice note asking for refund and four day later they gave me full refund and here is where it gets interesting Dealfind gave me extra 10% in Dealfind loonies to use in my next coupon. I did not expect that!!!
Thanks Dealfind
PS: if you have stories like that please post it!

That's great to hear but if they caused that business to close shop, something is wrong with them.

Same here. 2 years back I bought a 3 coupons for photography sessions at Toronto. I tried calling in many times to make an appointment 2 months ago but it kept going to voicemail. Found out online that the owner got charged with sexual assault just a couple of weeks before that. Wrote to Dealfind about it, including the links to the news sites, and got a full refund to my credit card.
Didn't get the 10% extra like OP did, but I wasn't expecting for more and was definitely pleased with their response.

agreed...almost every deal gone sour that i've brought to their attention with a legitamite notation about what happened, have at least gotten dealfind bucks back, and i always appreciate it. that's why i mainly (still) go to their site, followed by wagjag and then livingsocial/groupon...but i haven't had an experience with those others to see what they are like when it comes to refunds, only dealfind.

For Groupon I got the run around on what was supposed to be a voucher I got as a gift.
It was for a wine bar where my parents live and a few days before I was going to give them the voucher my stepfather had a medical issue and can not drink alcohol any more- and no one else lives near that area.
It took a few weeks and around6 emails and finally a phone call to get a credit.
