bios not detecting my sata drive

bios not detecting my sata drive

I brought a new sata drive.. check all the connectors.
when I boot up or go into bios..
it doesn't detect any harddrive.. ?
anything I should do or look at.

the harddrive is brand new

I have a shuttle system

do u have another drive connected like an IDE one? if its the lone drive, then u need to install some raid drivers, press F6 when installing xp and all should be fine after
