Bird Math Courses at UW
Hi, does anybody have any suggestions for bird 3rd-4th year math courses at UW? I remember there was a site before that listed bird courses, but i can't seem to find the link. Does anybody know if ACTSCI 363 with Robert Brown is hard?

Rob Brown should be easy according to this:

Assuming you have the prereqs, I would say Actsc 443, Pmath 330 (or so I heard).
Don't know about Actsc 363 (I'm going to take it this Fall). I think the course has lots of memorization. Good luck in enrolling it though, it gets full very fast (Fall is full already), and Rob Brown doesn't override easily. Oh, and there's some prereqs for this course too.

I suggest you take something you're interested rather than just looking for a bird--but that's JMO. I'll provide my suggestions anyway though...
If you're not a CS major then all of the CS minor courses are easy. ie. CS 330/338/430/432
STAT 332 is probably the easiest of the stats courses. I didn't enjoy 231, but found 332 to just be the same material rehashed (hence easier the second time around). The material also seemed (relatively) quite a bit more interesting in 332.
CO 380 and CO 480 always looked interesting, and not mathematically difficult, to me. But I didn't get a chance to take these so I'm not sure if this is true or not.
I took ACTSC 363 through DE during a co-op term and it was pretty easy and straight forward for a math course. The DE version was taught page by page from the textbook (our final exam was all questions straight from the text). I'm sure the on campus version probably goes into a bit more depth.

I'm reviving an older thread, but can someone please comment on the following:
CO 380
CO 480
ACTSC 363
Also, if you can think of any other easy math courses, I'd be glad to hear it
Thanks.
