I just visited the new Marble Slab Creamery in Brampton yesterday and it was awesome, I had a flavour called Birthday Cake with Reeses PB Cups mixed in. The hype is for real. Anyways, while I was there I saw on the menu that they make B-Day cakes and they had some in the freezer ready to go. Prices were $23 for a smalll and about $30 for a large. The couple that owned the place said that they could make a cake with a custom combination, but they need 48 hrs notice. I immediately told my GF that I wanted one for my B-Day.
Hope that helps!

Birthday Cake Question
What's the best place to get a birthday cake? I was thinking dairy queen. Do they taste better? Would you have to custom order it? What about superstore or safeway etc...? With superstore/safeway I'm quite certain it's already made and u can just ask them to put some writing on it. Does anyone know how old those cakes are at the supermarket before they are sold?

It won't help me cuz I'm not from there. Need something more local. Something like baskin robbins vs dairy queen vs superstore vs safeway....wuts good? I might go for dairy queen since it's not too far and the only baskin robbin that sells cake is about 15km away. Would not mind goin that lil further if u guys say it's worth it.

I've had a few baskin robbins cakes before and can confirm that their ice cream cake is quite tasty. I've never had a cake from DQ but if it's anything like their blizzards, i would recommend not getting it. When I had the blizzard it was way too sweet.

Love both Baskin Robbins and Dairy Queen cakes. I do find the DQ ones a little sweeter than the BR ones, but they are still good nonetheless. All DQ cakes have a chocolate and vanilla layer with fudge and crispy chocolate crunch in it, so delicious!

DQ is my favourite, every year I ask for one for my birthday

You can just go in and buy what they have or you can choose your own and pre order.
But for regular cake, Safeway makes really good cakes. You can have them special order or just go buy what they have in store. If someone is in the bakery then they can write on it for you._______________
That's my 2cents worth

Where exactly is it? On their website, it says across from Walmart. I am in that plaza multiple times per week and I have never seen it. Is it with the stores behind Burger King?
Edit: I think it is across the street in the plaza with the Source. I forgot that that plaza is also called a Smart Centre.Last edited by Cheap Cat; Oct 30th, 2009 at 03:54 PM.
