I am hoping people will remember this freebie especially those in the GTA when it comes to voting for best freebie next year. At the downtown Toronto Town & Country you can get a free meal on your birthday. Its all you can eat and just need proof of your birthday. You do not need a minimum purchase, have a paying person with you or even need a reservation. In other words if you cannot find anyone to join you you can get the offer on your own. I have done this the past 2 years and they even supplied me with a free mini birthday cake. Now if you are not in the GTA but have a Town & Country you might want to check out to see if they have this there.

Question re B-Day Freebies
I know some people might find this a unusal question but I was wondering if anyone can answer these questions. Some places if you register and or go to them on or near your birthday give freebies. Now I am curious if the place has more then one locale do you just go to one location or do you more to one? Now I am not saying going out of your normal area to get the other freebie. If you have done this did you have any trouble. I will not mention the restaurant chain but there is one where I have heard gives you a free main course with any appetizer purchase or a discount on your bill whatever is smaller and since I have a b-day on a holiday just wondering if I might try to do it before my actual b-day and then at another local on my actual b-day.

Birthday meal at Tuckers free if alone?
Hey Guys,
I feel sooo lame asking this but here'goes:
I've gotten the free meal at Tuckers Marketplace for years now... really great deal, but this year (well Tomorrow, Sept. 4) I'll be celebrating alone as I just moved to Toronto.
Will they honor the free meal even if you're by yourself? I'm secure enough in myself to eat alone, I do it all the time, but will they tell me no because I'm not bringing another paying guest?
Thanks if anyone has done this, or knows the answer.

I don't think the What-a-Bagel deal is location specific. The one at Bathurst/Steeles definitely has the birthday freebie (done it twice) and I've seen it at the location at Yonge/Eglinton. Pretty sure it's chainwide.

can confirm on the dozen bagels
I can confirm on the dozen what-a-bagel bagels. Seems likely it is available at most locations, actually. Be aware you WILL need to show ID as proof of said Bday, but they were quite nice about it - even gave best wishes!

Boston Pizza a rip-off
>The Birthday Freebies Thread V3! OP favorite is Boston >Pizza, free gourmet pasta is good for the week prior to >your birthday, that frees up the actual day to go to >Tuckers Marketplace!!!
Boston Pizza freebie is not entirely free. Went to the Boston Pizza in Nepean today with coupon in hand.
#1 Ordered shrimp penne pasta which was came dry (little sauce) and of mediocre taste
#2 Service was poor, server never even came to ask us once how the food was
#3 Only when the bill came did the server mention that the coupon was only good for up to $10 in value, not the actual price of the pasta!!! No where in the coupon did it ever mention this and the server did not inform us upfront.
#4 Bathrooms, bar floors, tables and menus were sticky, meaning not well-maintained
#5 Comparing similarly priced restaurants (East Side Mario's, Earls, Joey's, Cactus Club, Swiss Chalet, etc.,) Boston Pizza is a total rip-off. Even with the coupon, in hindsight, I would have been better off walking across the street to East Side Mario's, getting better food and service for around the same price.
** I enjoy eating out and only make complaints where they are due, in this case, it was a total disaster!

Edmonton Smitty's - Westmount location had a birthday ice cream for the birthday person. Not great, but not bad, and we used the coupon for $10 from the Edmonton SUTP book and they took it at lunch even though it says valid only after 4 p.m. Its this type of service that makes people go back. They have actually REALLY improved the service and menu and made it ...........almost upscalish!
