Thanks - I think this is a shit ton better than QCX hands down.
Yes, and no delays on withdraw either. Also, very responsive support, which to me is the number one requirement when choosing a platform to convert crypto to fiat and vice-versa.

The only thing I'd like added though for security - is better security like 2FA or a password for withdrawls, etc

Is that available?

Thanks Rod.

Btw - how does one send ETH to your MEW wallet via QR code?

Shakepay is on your phone right and I can't find a QR code for my MEW address and have to manually type it which is cumbersome and very prone to error lol

Login on mew and copy the public address to your email / notepad. When withdrawing from shakepay, just paste the public address to receive the deposit.

Don't type the address, you will lose the funds if goes the wrong address.

Mew was subject of phishing in the past. Install cryptonite and metamask. Better yet, invest in a hardware wallet and never worry about keys again.

We will see a bull run again and we will certainly surpass $20k BTC again. Not quite sure when as this bear market doesn't look like it's ending any time soon.
The only reason it went to 20K is because someone want it to go high... For about a year there were 10,0000s of paid ads and articles recommending bitcoin and pushing people to buy. They were spending a sh$$t ton of money on those and it got attention of media and everyone else so the demand grew. Then I remember those ads and articles stopped and I did not see them any longer. Weeks later bitcoin crashed.... I bet whoever it was got rich by selling.

This is why it's not a real currency and no better than Blackjack at a casino.

I wouldn't put it in the same place as casino games, as the house always wins there. With crypto there is no "house" (unless you mean the whales), but it is not a good move to heavily invest it in given how it can be manipulated and runs on speculation.

Personally I have some money in crypto, but the bulk still in traditional markets. If I lose what I have in crypto, meh....life goes on. But I'd rather risk some money and potentially lose 100% of it, than sit back like I did with BTC originally and end up missing out on a ton.

This is the problem with everyone who tries to sell bitcoins.

People are pushing it to be the major currency... but 99 percent of the people who trade are in it just to profit. If people believed in Bitcoin, they would buy, trade, work in bitcoin to push the agenda.

My buddy made huge money on bitcoin, he was mining from the get go and preach this as the currency of the future. As soon as it hit 10k, he cashed out and bought a few homes. He doesn't own any bitcoins (to my knowledge), kind of a hypocrite.

Right, hence Bitmex is your friend. In a bear market, trading is the only way to make money, buy and hold doesn't help. Learn how to trade on Bitmex to short crypto with controlled leverage. Very powerful tool.

Newcomer to Canada. Is there any problem if I transfer my coins I accumulated overseas to Shakepay and cash out? Also whats the lowest option if the amount is big?
