Lol sure bud..if u investing in any type coin between now and middle August you my friend are clueless
That males no sense. You can still buy coins even if its forks. If its on your own wallet, just choose the fork that "wins". August first doesn't mean anything for people that actually know what they are doing.

I sold off my bitcoin holdings and will likely buy back in after this August 1st thing happens with this possible split.

Better to be in before Potential split, so your coins will be duplicated across any resultant blockchain(s). Just be sure you own your private keys.

If you keep your coins in coinbase or something, you're just asking for trouble.

Hacker stole $7m of Ether from Coindash ICO. Hacked their website and put his own wallet address.

People still sending money to his wallet SMH:

nope. those TXs were pending for a while. i've been watching since this morning.
i'm guessing he was using metamask and don't know how to cancel TXs..

I am going to predict that there will certainly NOT be a HF and NOT be a chain split for august 1. However, nov 1 may be a different story.

All Major mining pools are signalling new york agreement.

and use Canadian Bitcoins, I have sold about 20 grand worth of bitcoin with them in all cash transactions, no issues at all
Why Not Quadriga? You'd get more, plus QCX puts it straight into your bank account.

same with kraken, but thin volume though.

I think canadian bitcoins, you get a premium over the spot price so perhaps that's why he prefers there as a seller.

Because I sold at well over 500% on my investment, didn't have time to do the banking stuff, don't want to do the banking stuff, etc. etc

Sums it up quite well, but at the same time, there is probably a lot of money to be lost, Imagine having bought Bitcoin on the run up between $2000 and up to $4000? I mean there must have been people dropping hundreds of millions in for me to ditch my BTC at $3600 to $3200 Canadian three weeks ago...

The will all tank probably, then perform another stratospheric rise
Just the way trading works. To make money we have to sell it to someone. That someone is probably losing money if we are making money

Got some ETH at $208...it's now $280. I'm ok with 35% profits in 3 days.

It's not profit unless you've sold it again.

No, I didn't miss the point. You must be brand new to investing/speculating. You don't realize your profit till you sell. What if it's down 12% tomorrow? Will you call that a loss?

Oh really? You don't say?

Again, the discussion was that irishguy was chastising me for not being worried about the possibility of a fork on August 1st and still holding/buying BTC and ETH. He said he'd wait a while and buy them cheaper than I did. I disagreed. Has nothing to do with paper profits or losses, but thanks for participating.
