I'm in the market for a 65" or 70" LED tv, has anyone come across any good deals? At this point I'm only looking to buy a TV, later I'll focus on getting a good audio system to accompany it.

Do people think Futureshop/Best Buy or Sears will really match Black Friday sales? I was looking at the bfads.net website someone posted and I saw there's a Toshiba LED TV (50L2200U) that both Best Buy and Sears are going to have on sale in the US for around 50% off! The TV only has a few reviews on Amazon, but they look good. It just seems like wishful thinking that a person could get that sort of a deal without braving the drive south and the lines...
EDIT: Just saw the post on the other forum about the TVs... looks like Sears won't be price-matching.

Going to keep an eye on this. Bought my Samsung UN55EH6000FXCZ at BB's Calgary 17th Ave grand opening sale for $900, seeing if I can get a better deal. Hoping to find something 60-65" of the same quality or better (such as the Sharp LE640U), but around or lower than $1200. I can still return the Samsung after BF starts.

depends on the salesperson and location of course.
My FS experience is that when you add the warranty and/or other services such as calibration to a deal, they basically have no choice but to further discount the actual item (TV) to make the whole package price work. The systems don't allow them to discount the 'services'.
Of course that means if you do work out a deal that includes a $500 PSP as an example, and they discount the price of the product by $500 to effectively 'include' the warranty for free, you can in theory walk into any FS with your invoice and cancel the PSP in the first 30 days and get your $500 back.

Circuit City (Tiger Direct) has 55" for $948 and 46" for $648.
Not sure if they ship to Canada or not.

65"/70" TV's are in a completely different league than 46"/55" TV's.
A 70" TV has a viewable screen area of 2100 square inches, whereas a 46" TV has only 900 square inches.
(For additional comparison: 55" = 1300 sq.in. / 65" = 1800 sq.in. / 80" = 2700 sq.in.)

unfortunately in that case they make you pay the tax on the entire amount.
also, make sure the TV is made in canada/usa/mexico otherwise you will likely get dinged for duty as well
