But then if you go to asia, every asian wants an iphone or android, and probably the only country that has more blackberry users than iphone or android is either Phillipines or Indonesia because Blackberry is cheap.
Basically the only countries who are blackberry enthusiasts (Although I'm not quite sure why people like Blackberry, Android can offer everything except BBM) is Canada, U.S, England and indonesia

I'm not denying that it is, just that us in Canada make blackberry out into a bigger deal than it actually is.
which explains why rim is 6th in the world in terms of smartphone sales, behind Samsung, Apple, Nokia HTC and someone else I can't remember
and don't forget that the percentage of indonesians rich enough to own phones is much less than Canada or u.s.
and I know that rim is popular in the above countries, but that doesn't mean that other phone brands don't carry a presence there. on the other hand, in countries where blackberry isn't the dominant presence, they have extremely weak market shares in those countries, which again explains why rim is 6th

Looks nice, but RIM needed this 2 years ago. Now there is just so much negativity surrounding Blackberrys, I doubt anyone cares.
I can still remember the original Blackberry Storm, which was supposed to be RIM's answer to the iPhone. Back then there was a lot of anticipation regarding that phone. If only the Storm had a decent OS and decent keyboard back then. It was so hard to type on the Storm, people wanted to chuck it across the room.
This new phone is nice but it is too little too late now. RIM needed a phone like this when the Storm was launched.
