The Telus version of the blackberry has the following frequencies:
UMTS®: 2100/1900/850
GSM®/GPRS/EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900

Without knowing the exact country, it's hard to say. It will work 100% on EDGE (2g) service anywhere around the world. As for 3G, depends which country.

Here's a guideline of what country runs what frequencies

Your best interest is under the green column. 1700/2100 is not the same as 2100 by itself. You are looking for 2100 by itself or 850mhz or 1900mhz or 850/1900mhz

I was planning to send it to Guyana, so looking at the table EPcjay provided it should work at aleast on 2G, which fine for me.

THank you all for help.
