Why you ask?TCWeasel wrote: ↑I guess one really has to ask why they are buying a dashcam.
Is a $50 one going to do the job or do you need a $200 camera.
For my purposes, I'd doubt I'd need anything more than a simple $50 camera. I don't believe youtube viewers will be particular interested in my driving back and forth to work.
I've had my blackvue for about 2 years and I can say it's one of the best investments I've made for my vehicle.
I have been involved in a few accidents and all have been caught on camera including a hit and run over night when the car was parked. Guess what? Sensor picked up the hit and I was able to find out exactly when this was (I didn't have to look through hours of video) and caught the guy including his plate. Police charged him with hit and run.
I'm also dealing with an incident where it's a he said she said no witness moving accident. Dash cam video will prove me right.
I wouldn't recommend cheaping out on a dash cam and would definitely recommend a blackvue.
