lenovo is much better specs. But this one is business grade 14" which is a plus. I passed this too and bought P580 Lenovo with i5-3210 and 6GB RAM.

Actually ordered the Lenovo V570 and P580. Will keep the P580 and return the V570 and the Vostro. Never even turned on the Vostro. Hope Dell does not give me a hassle for the return, but considering they messed up the hard drive spec, I guess that helps me out.

I agree with others on this display...it seems to look similar to a 10-year old IBM Thinkpad I have sitting around somewhere.
How can we tell that the display is the same as what we were supposed to receive? I'm concerned that with the HD error, maybe they made a mistake with the display type as well

no, the HD error is just a mixup in the base configuration by marketing. the Vostro 2420 has no other display option unlike HD
