Block heater timer with remote control option?

I am looking for a timer that can run a regular morning rotation in addition to being able to power on when required by remote. Winter is coming I have a massive diesel and she needs a hand in the cold.

Only thing I could find is this. http://www.amazon.ca/KAB-ENTERPRISE-LTD ... mer+remote

Sorry link button crashes safari.

Any other suggestions?

The difference between wanting and needing is how you justify it.

I've gone with a timer in the past, not aware of other options but it did its job!

I bought a 3 prong timer from Home Hardware, give it 2-3 hours before leaving and all is good.
They are also not very expensive and go on sale sometimes, i saw it on for $6 or similar a few weeks ago, but $39 is not bad if it works reliably and is CSA certified
In fact in Rand McNally they wear hats on their feet and hamburgers eat people

Wemo does not aear to be outdoor rated and even covered not sure how it would work in cold temps. It would have to operate -40

Quentin I am looking for remote as well as timer. My life is not as predictable. I guess I could technically just have a timer and over ride when I want to physically going Out there.

Why would it be outdoor? I keep mine inside garage.
