blood test result??

just had a blood test the other day cuz of the abdomen pain, the doc made a follow up call today ask me to go see her next week,i just wonder if that means the results r bad? but she did say it's not urgent. has anyone had this kind call beofre? i know i wont know until i talk to the doc,but it's weekend and i have to wait till monday, kinda upset me now :(

If it's not urgent, then stop worrying. They just want you to to make an appointment so they can make $$$ from your visit.

If it was serious she would have brought you in immediately for more testing to confirm the first results.

Relax, the test might show something minor and it's not life threatening.

hey, thx for the reply, the doc told me when i first met her that if everything s ok with my blood test then she wouldnt call me, so i can only hope it's just something mild :(

sorry to make a fuss about it, i rarly get sick and never really have to do a blood test, i think i got overreact about this kind call

Dont worry man/woman everything will be allright. This is just a minor inconvenience, just ride it out and you will see better days soon.

did they just do th eblood test or some imaging as well?

Not every doc orders the same test; for example, they may require a chem panel in addition to the usual CBC. When you have your appt. ask specifically what was drawn and WHY. It's your right to know such details and some docs forget to go through all results and what their concerns were about. Good luck.:)

I have never had the doctor's office initiate a follow-up call after a test unless they actually found something that could indicate a problem.

I did
we went through all the results and he explained them to me
some were not great so he wanted to let me know but overall I was fine
