The most common right now would be:
Transformers, The Dark Knight, Spider-Man 2.
I would say something like The Last Samurai perhaps or even Casino Royale.

Which Blu-Ray movies to get?
Looking for something that showcases Blu-Ray, think Baraka, Planet Earth, etc.
This will be on a 42" plasma, 1080i (tops out at that) sitting 6 feet away.
I am not too concerned about dialogue, but looking for something with good picture quality.

Any Disney film like the Chronicles of Narina, Pixar movies. They have excellent PQ. Just watch Cars, Ratatouille or Walle.

the only time i'd buy blurays are for the real 'keeper' movies. The Dark Knight and Blade Runner would be prime examples. Transformers looked stunning but i wouldn't own it.

John Woo's "Red Cliff" is definitely recommended for blu-ray. Movie looked so beautiful in high definition that you coulda sworn it was a painting. Hong Kong BD has the watermark thing though. There's also a Taiwanese version of the bluray from the folks at Deltamac. Their releases usually don't have any watermark.

Planet Earth and Wall-E is what I usually see recommended for this purpose. Pick up Planet Earth for about $45 - $50 from Amazon UK and Wall-E at Rogers Plus' 25% off used BluRay sale.

I'm thinking of getting Baraka.
Few things
Paramusic near Ryerson was selling the Dark Knight for $19.99...fake?
Also, is the PS3 a decent blu-ray player? E.g is it like a "low-end" blu-ray player? or is it just like any other bluray player.
