What is a reasonable offer to make? The dealer says their prices are firm no offers. Is this true?

I suppose you can use the bulk of this plan by having the car returned with bald tires. But then, you have to ask yourself the question of whether you will feel safe for driving the bald tires in the first place as you are trying to stretch out of not replacing the tires to the end of term. Those runflats will typically last about 40,000 - 50,000km range, if driven year round.
It is matter of how you see the values of this kind of protection plan. Everyone will have different views on them.

Out of those 4, in my bill of sale from T&C last year, they had only wheel locks.booblehead wrote: ↑ If you don't specify, then typically dealer will automatically add on: bogus charges
- Iprotect (like vin etching admin fee)
- wheel locks
- vehicle care kits (mats charge)
- not sure they have since add on nitrogen air too.
Alternatively, you can simply tell him you will pay only:
-freight/pdi
-dealer admin fee
-license admin fee (not to exceed $25)
-ppsa (if you are leasing or financing)
-full tank of gas or you can try to work that into the deal as included n/c.
see how you do and if you are not getting close to 6% at all, then move on to another dealer. I would say at least 7-8 rfders have bought from him in the past year or two.

I tried to push back on car proof too, but they resisted and still T&C quote was the lowest price.booblehead wrote: ↑ ^ you are right. forgot the OMVIC, A/C tax, tire levy.
Carproof is bogus too as you are buying new. I told them in the past that you cannot charge this for buying new and dealer knew about this and claimed the charge can be removed right away (only if customers noticed it). As for Lien regis., that's bogus as well, as PPSA of $55 would have cover this already.
