car has the feature, seems car was not registered until last night, Apple car play showed up on screen as well as WIFI.
my other issue is how to use homelink, I googled it and seems not working, on my other cars I pushed the learning button on the back of the garage doors and within 30 seconds push the button in the car 3-4 times, tried the same here but no success!
does it mean your carplay is fully functional ?

Guys I'm looking at a 2013 BMW 320i xDrive with 56000KM for $18000.

Anything to check for in the car when purchasing it? I will be taking a mechanic to inspect it myself, but from your experiences is there any issues I should know about before looking at this car?

What's the difference between the 320i and the 328i?

Thanks guys!

same engine. different factory tune, turbocharger and result in slightly lowered power for the 320.

Major issue - timing chain. But then, I would think this car would have it replaced by now .. let's hope.

price is decent, assuming it has premium , sound, light and nav packages.

Ridiculous but found how it is working
it has to be set by remote first and then it has to be set by learning button as well!

btw, thanks for the videos

Don’t you just love German technology Grinning Face With Smiling Eyes
Interestingly, HomeLink is not German.
HomeLink was originally developed by Johnson Controls, an Irish company. And it was subsequently sold to Gentex, an US company.

$1000 factory credit going on now. on the dealer side discount, you can aim for 6.-6.5% off

Great info thanks. There is a lease take over on offer for 31 months @ $610+tax with zero down. Seems good?

2018 ?
orig. term ?
what package ?

If I am assuming it has Premium Essential only and you are not paying for lease transfer and inspection cost, then it's decent.

Its a 2017 car with premium, original term was 48 months. It's at a BMW dealer so presumably inspected.. $500 incentive as well and includes 4 yr maintenance package..

If they want $610 + tax, then you could get a 2018 manual + prem. essential at around $630 per month + taxes with $0 down / assuming 6.25% dealer side discount + $1000 factory credit / 48 months / 1.9% int / 43% residual

In other words, it is a coin flip whether you want a used one or haggle for a brand new one.

btw, all bmw comes with 4 yrs maint. package (valid from in service date). Therefore, dealer is not giving you anything extra.

Lastly, if i were you, I would not bother with the used one as the tires & brakes have probably clocked in some wear and may need replacement in about 1 yr time ... unless dealer has replaced them already, then it would be worth of some consideration to get this car
