I know someone is thinking whats the big deal with free shipping, you can get that anywhere if you buy enough books!? True, but BCO usually is half the price of places like Amazon, I know my kid is big into Vampires this year, buying some of the Buffy novels, most are 11.67 on Amazon.ca and 4.99 at BCO... without the free shipping doesn't work out that great but with it sure does...

These are bargain books so it may not look as new. Do they mark it with a big marker? How do the books look compared to amazon?

This does not apply to marketplace items does it?
I had a great experience with bookscloseouts before. Ordered a university textbook at 20% of cost of new, arrived in almost new condition. Also a pocket dictionary for $4, ($25 new).

Yes, these are all remainder books with BIG black ink line on the outer pages.
Do not go in looking at these as gifts for anyone but your closest family members, as they're just inked-up returns that are *required* to be sold that way. Many times they look "used" probably due to people flipping through them at stores.
I buy them sometimes for my kids as reading material, but I'd never use them as gifts for their friends.

They're located in St. Catherines, so there is no duty. I've ordered a few hundred dollars worth of books over the past few years, great place to get cheap books. They're not always in perfect condition and all have a black mark on the bottom or top, but besides that, nothing else.

Library Binding
I see some books that have "Library Binding" does that mean that the covers will be blank with no image?

This is where I buy large print books for my Grandma. I can get tons of them for anywhere from $2-$6. Large prints are notoriously hard to find in bookstores with very limited selection and if you do find them usually pretty expensive (upwards of $15-$20 each). I can easily order a case to keep Grandma supplied for months for less than $100 from here. They always ship pretty quickly and condition overall is excellent. Thanks OP!
