[Bouclair] BouClair - Faux Wood Blinds 40% off

Hi guys,

I went yesterday to BouClair and bought a couple of Faux Wood blinds for my house at an awesome price...

These blinds apart from being the cheapest compared to HomeDepot, Blinds-to-go and others, have 40% off until the 29th:

http://www.bouclair.com/en/promo.html

The biggest ones (72" by 72") are like $100 and that is before the discount. Another good thing is that most of their stores now cut those blind to your needs! (before you had to cut them yourself) the installation is easy, not the fanciest blinds but the quality is good.

I really wanted a couple of real wood ones, the employee told me the have these kind of sales from time to time and they rotate them, sometimes real wood are on sale and some times faux wood... so I will be waiting for those to be on sale...

EDIT: I bought this ones for the loundy room, etc... For the main rooms I am buying Levolor wich is a lot more expensive but also one of the best quality blinds, but let me give you a tip: blinds.com: they have the Levolor ones more than half of the price less compared to HomeDepot, the catch? they only ship to the US but if you have an friend in the US it will be an awesome deal, I am saving like $1000 compared to HD on 4 windows (cordless, top-down&bottom-up) and shipping to buffalo... I will spend a weekend on Niagara with a deal I found on another thread and picking up the blinds... While looking for my blinds I saw a lot and I can tell you there are a lot of really chapy made brands which are hard to open, cheap material, etc... so I do not recommend buying online unless you have actually seen the product / tested it... But you can go to any HD, see the Levolor ones and play with them, even choose the colors and then buy them online...

Thanks for the deal! I have been waiting for Bouclair's 2" Faux wood blinds on sales for my new house. I have been hunting around and do compare prices such as Covers, HD, Mars Blinds, Blinds-to-go, I found Covers has the best prices but if Bouclair offer 40%, this won't be beat. For regular price, Bouclair's price is around 20% more than Covers but if you get 40% off, you are ahead of the game.

Your welcome! I went to covers too and I found their branded shades not too good quality made, they feel too cheapy... I think BouClair are better quality and as you said, with the %40 off they are less expensive too...

Thanks OP, if the quality is as good as you say, this could be a smoking hot deal.

Do you have an idea of what you paid for your blinds after the $40% off and what the were the dimensions of the blinds you picked up? If your saying 72 X 72 would be $60 after the 40% off, discount then thats an amazing price. Also is the 40% taken off after the or before reg price + tax?

Also what colours did they have in the faux wood blinds?

I bought a couple of 31"x45" in white and they cut the width to my needs (they can cut up to 5") for free... (actually they did it twice because I made a mistake when I measured so I had to go back, thanks god the mistake was 1"more and not less :razz :) You can reduce the hight but that you have to do yourself with the instructions provided on the box...

They were $34.99 - 40% before taxes + taxes on the balance = $23.73 total each one...

If I remember well they have 4 colors: white, birch, walnut and another one kind of like dark cherry... maybe another one, not sure...

I remember they had this sale last year also, but they had the blinds at 50% off. Time to go buy some more blinds and get rid of that temporary paper crap from HD!

Here are my quote from BouClair:

48" X 72" = $74.99 less 40% = $44.99
72" X 72" = $99.99 less 40% = $59.99
24" X 72" = $37.99 less 40% = $22.79
48" X 48" = $49.99 less 40% = $29.99
24" X 48" = $29.99 less 40% = $17.99

Of course + 13% tax.

The CSR said I can buy and pay now and ask to cut to size later, as long as I keep the receipts if you are not sure the exact size of your window, but you still need to know the approx.

I have these tall narrow windows on either side of my front door. Would these be a standard size and does anyone know what the measurements would be? I would love to drop by Bouclair after work without having to go home and measure. Do they sell blinds this narrow or would I have to get them cut?

...Thanks again PCB, If these prices are right I should be able to get blinds for a my entire place for around $160 before tax. Thats about 7 sets of blinds.

Compared to what I paid @ HD last year for seven granwood fauxwood blinds, this is a savings of about $70%.

To anyone who picked up these from Bouclair, how do these compare to the White Granwood's @ HD?

Two thumbs waaaay up.

I shop there quite a bit. They rotate the sales and usually go something like Faux wood, real wood, curtains, curtain accessories and then over again. It's usually 40% and sometimes goes as high as 50% but not lower than 30%.
I have these throughout my house.

Just got back from the Brampton store. Ordered 25 sets of faux wood (lots of windows to cover in the new home), came up to $735.xx, would have been around $1300 without the 40% off.

Thank god i waited =)

Thanks for the post OP

I just went to Bouclair tonight and looked at the one's on sale. Personally, I don't care for them. The color I wanted was birch or maple (the light brown) and what I didn't like was there was no wood grain. Now, I know there are not real wood but I don't like the one tone color thing cuz it looks too plasticy.

I did however see other blinds, roughly the same price as those on sale, and these blinds did have the grain in the wood (still fake wood) but were nicer. The price was indicated as being "all year round price" and I asked and these don't go on sale so they are always available.

Anyways, don't take my word for it, check it out, there were tons in stock, both the one's I like and the one's I didn't.
