I got these on boxing day http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/...21e5a6f1b2en02
But they require cables. I know bestbuy and Futureshop rip people off big time on cables. Is there any other place I can get cables for this cheaper without paying 30 for the speaker cable and 50 for the subwoofer cable?

Buy 4x desired final length of cable, per cable, of Cat5 solid core ethernet cable.
(Eg for a 2 five foot cables you would need 40 ft)
Cut into equal lengths, group into fours, secure one end with tape/twine/wiretie approximately 6'' from end of cable.
Twist cable group as tight as you can, to create cohesive "twisted" cable. Secure other end 6'' from end of cable.
Remove outer casing of each of the 4 Cat5 lengths from the edge of the cable to the tape/twine/wiretie
Separate colored wires from white wires. Strip each wire 2'' from edge. Twist the copper of the colored wires together, and twist the copper of the white colored wires together.
Enjoy speaker cables that take 30-45 mins to make, but can compare to cables costing up to 100+/foot. The twisted pairs help to reject EMI to a high degree, while the individually insulated 24 AWG conductors help to keep capacitance low. The overall twisted shape helps with inductance. Overall, these cables are hard to beat without spending a ludicrous amount of money or time

i got the same speakers... got 75ft of 24 guage, kinda thin.. but if there is any difference in sound quality is extremely minimal, because the speakers sound great. And 75 ft of it was like $6.50 at walmart. Same thing with HDMI cables in my opinion.. it's all gimmick, 95% of the time cheaper ones are no different at all.

shoot I never even thought to buy speaker wire. Didnt realize it is separate. I got the Infinity speakers that were on sale.. havent been shipped yet tho.
I'm gonna buy speaker wire from monoprice unless it is cheaper in my local hardware store. I get all my cables from monoprice. Great site!
What about banana plugs? are they needed or recommended?
