Bowflex PR1000 $499 Sears.ca - save $500
Hey guys and gals. Looking for XMAS ideas for myself
...and since I live to far from a gym now, looking for something to use in the house. I was on Sears.ca and saw a bowflex for $499. For some, this would be a $499 shirt rack, but for others, this seems like a hot price for a decent system.

According to amazon reviews and what not, its a solid machine...well reviewed. Sears price is inflated, but at $499 its cheaper than anywhere else I could find including the States.

That would hold a lot of shirts, ties, belts, etc.

Nice home theatre setup!

bought this around 3 weeks ago for $549.99 (with the $50 coupon when it was on sale for $599.99). Use it around 3 times a week so far, it's a solid machine, it's good for my upper body, but I find that it doesn't offer enough resistance for the lower body. It's all right though, for this price, it's a solid bowflex machine that offers a good amount of exercise (you can be creative and do more exercise than the ones they suggested in the manual only).
I called Sears yesterday and they gave me an credit of $100 due to the new price

But keep in mind a Bowflex is both pretty large and fairly heavy and bulky. The bench part folds in but realistically it's not really convenient to roll it around every time you want to work out.
This is a pretty good price. As long as you're committed to working out a Bowflex is a pretty decent investment.
