Effective Feb 20th Intel will reduce prices on select boxed desktop value processors sold through authorized distributors
The percentage decline of Intel’s published 1000-unit processor price is listed below. This percentage of price decline is similar to the price decline for Intel boxed processors sold to authorized distributors. Intel Dealers should expect to see similar percentage declines in their quoted boxed processor prices from authorized distributors.

Celeron D, 3.06 GHz ------- 345/345J/346 ------- 8%
Celeron D, 2.93 GHz ------- 340/340J/341 ------- 12%
Celeron D, 2.8 GHz -------- 335/335J/336 ------- 14%
Celeron D, 2.66 GHz ------- 330/330J/331 ------- 5%
Celeron D, 2.53 GHz ------- 325/325J/326 ------- 8%
Celeron, 2.8 GHz ------------------------------- 14%
Celeron, 2.7 GHz ------------------------------- 14%
Celeron, 2.6 GHz ------------------------------- 5%
Celeron, 2.5 GHz ------------------------------- 8%

AMD just dropped their prices few days ago, I wonder when will we be able to see the price drop in the retail.

He probably means when we'll see the price change in local stores (the A64 3000+ I bought from <a href=../autolink/redirectpage.php?linkid=28 target=_blank>NCIX</a> has not dropped in price yet for example).

This is likley because AMD is owning the budget market with the Sempron processor right now...
