i'd imagine that b/c of this, FS/BB would have much less sales than last yr's boxing day/wk sales.... (at least f/ the RFD community)
it's too bad...
now let's all hope that they don't jack up s/h charges on boxing day/wk -_-
-------
since when were the items shipped to the store for free? never heard that you could ship to the store w/ an online order..._______________

I dont think they will do instore pickup for boxing bay items. If they do that, online people will clear out all a stores stock on hot items before the store even opens. When choosing instore pickup the items arre not shipped to the store; the items come from the stores stock

err... IINM, the ISPU option was a new thing that started this yr.... there was no such thing as ISPU last boxing day or before that...
EDIT: here's the thread which i believe is the 1st time that FS started the ISPU option, which started around the end of Jan.
http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/s...d.php?t=245791
but it's still true that if everything could be done as ISPU "in advance", there's no point in the boxing day line-ups...._______________

I have to diagree with you because instore pickup was a available in select Future Shop and Best Buy stores in late fall of 2005. In was not a national storewide policy until January, 2006. In other words, they were testing it in some stores before bringing it to all stores. I'm 100% sure the website said store pickup (where available) will not be available until January.
