Bridgestone RE-01R Performance Summer Tires CLEARANCE
Bridgestone just brought out a new tire to replace the Potenza RE-01R, so now you can find crazy deals on the RE-01R at any Bridgestone authorized dealer. The best deal however, is from Tire Rack, in the US.
For a common size like 205/55/16, you're paying less than $300US for a set of 4! That's insanely cheap for a high performance summer tire! By the time you add taxes, duties, and shipping to the GTA, it priced out to just over $500US. That's a steal!
All sizes are on sale!
FYI, this is NOT an all season tire. Do not even attempt to drive with these in the winter, as they are unsafe. For those of us who have winter tires though, as a summer tire for a daily driver, ricers, or especially for the track, this is as good as it gets. Maximum performace and it glues your car to the road.
Again, Tire Rack in the US has the best deal on these. You can have them shipped directly here, or ship them to a dealer in Buffalo and pick them up there across the border. They are also on sale at dealers here in Canada, but the cheapest I've found is close to $700 CDN.

keep in mind, although these are street legal, these will wear out quicker than other sport tires....and will likely wear under 10K.

I bought these tires about a year ago in Vancouver, and they cost about $900. Did a quick quote with this deal, and shipped to Point Roberts would cost $320 USD. HOT!
Granted, the fact that I bought them a year ago and almost need a new set say something about the tread wear...not exactly the best.

On another forum I read from various people that you should call them instead, because even though they may not have the size you want now online, they are getting more shipments in this week, and can take your order for the size you want over the phone. It's worth a shot.

You can ship them to either TSB (http://www.tsbshipping.com) or The Letter Carrier (http://www.thelettercarrier.com). They charge a nominal fee for collecting your purchases, and you pay a bit in customs on the way back across the border.
Usually the custom fees aren't too bad, and it's only a 30 minute drive from Vancouver. Much cheaper than the $120 they want to charge you to ship to Canada plus the brokerage fees!
