Brother DCP-7065DN Monochrome Laser Multifunctional - $109.99 CanadaComputers
$109.99 @ CanadaComputers - http://www.canadacomputers.com/produ...item_id=040267
Compare at... $200 @ Staples - http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Catalog/ca...affixedcode=WW
- print, copy, scan
- duplex printing (double-sided printing)
- auto-document feeder (copy/fax feed tray)
- ethernet network connection
You can replace the toner yourself for $14.99 (or less) using a toner kit: http://www.tonerkits.com/hl2240-2.html ... instead of paying $100 for replacement toner. I've used tonerkits.com - no duty because it's less than $20 total. Delivery was 5 days to Ottawa. Still printing on that refill and it's been over a year

You can get the toner for cheaper on ebay shipped from china for about $7. Although you do have to wait about 3 weeks to get it. Also, keep in mind that the starter toner you get can NOT be refilled, you have to have to buy another toner instead. I bought an OEM high yield (2000 pages) toner for $30 off ebay that can be refilled, there are generic high yields for $22. The starter toner you get with the printer prints about 700 pages.
All in all, the printer is awesome for the price, it's a bit loud when its printing but it's really worth it, it prints insanely fast and there are tons of features which makes this is a great deal. Bought it for $100 on a staples deal about a year ago and just had to buy new toner for it a couple weeks ago.

I also bought this MFP for my parents from staples about a year ago for about $100 after coupons. It works well enough, but the network setup is a HUGE pain in the butt, if you ever shut off the printer if completely forgets its network settings and then it takes what seems like hours to find it on the network again. The brother drivers and absolutely obnoxious to deal with as well. Ditto on the starter toner, it won't even use up all its toner before telling you to replace it. (what's up with that?)

Totally, told me it was low on toner a couple weeks ago so I bought a new one, it's still good with no sign of being totally empty

I bought this printer last year for $79.99. And the printer toner is super cheap at Walmart in the states.

Staples - $99.95 - Brother HL2270DW Wireless Laser Printer
Unfortunately, for $100 you either get WiFi or multifunctional, but not both
Multifunctional with WiFi at CanadaComputers - $199.99 - Brother MFC-7860DW

So people talk about how the wifi/networking is 'difficult'. Assuming you get it set up once, is it smooth sailing after that? I read one post where a guy said it loses the network settings every time you turn it off so you essentially ahve to leave it on 100% of the time.
