Brunch for 50ppl in Toronto/west-end?

hello,

I'm looking to host a baby shower for approximately 50
people. Preferably a brunch buffet On a Sunday in a private atmosphere. More than likely in toronto's west-end and no more than $20-25 pp. not sure if that's even feasible. Thank you!

I'm a big fan of The School in Liberty Village -- not sure if any of these places can do a 'buffet' for you.

Not sure if they have a private area they can close off for 50 of you though.

Also consider Mildred Temples Kitchen or Origin in the same area. Lots of cheap parking too.

If you want a real buffet consider Hot House (not west end) or a hotel. The Ritz Carlton has a beautiful brunch buffet with Mimosa's and Lobsters .... but much more than $25pp.

I've dropped off my wife to a couple of baby showers at some Delta in Missisauga....everything seemed nice there apart from being in no mans land.

Old Mill is a good place but it's $37
spoon and fork should be in your price range

Mildred Temple and The School are good spots, but the crowd is a bit douchey

These are all great suggestions and I'll look into all of them. Another option I am considering is renting a community centre and having a catered brunch. Just need to crunch some numbers.

Mandarin is only $14.99 pp if it's a lunch gathering. $25 is the dinner rate. (beverage extra)

If your gathering doesn't mind a church hall, that might be cheaper.

For a shower, another option is doing an afternoon coffee/tea and the Windsor arms hotel.
A great atmosphere for a shower :)

Try searching 'baby shower' in the Parenting Forum questions around baby shower venues pop up there every once in awhile you might find something there,
MrsPotato's idea of an afternoon tea I love. Maybe you can find a tea room that can accommodate that many people.
Church halls are a good option and a lot of them offer catering. Our old church when we lived in Oakville has a really nice hall and good catering but that is probably too west for you http://www.holytrinitycroatian.org/banquet.html
