Yeah, the action in bitcoin is horrifying atm, it's below 15k.. wonder what happened?

@OP As for real estate, it is a market like any other so there will be ups and downs, patience is the key. If you don't have patience and the financial stability to both care for and afford real estate than yes, don't invest in it. For the rest of us: in 20 years, the chances of it being worth significantly more are nearly guaranteed. If not.. well at least I didn't have to pay rent lol.

Not a great trait for a currency to be volatile, will off put people from accepting it.

uh oh pipe's bitcoin may be stolen LOLL
I'm sure the "bank" would cover any losses from thieves because they are highly regulated. LOL

I predict the bears in a basement will still be there end of 18.

Yeah, it seems like there are a lot of these kind of "hacking" incidents, which are totally not an inside job. I thought bitcoin would not recover after Mt. Gox's totally not an inside job hacking incident but apparently it did.

Here's my predictions for end of year value:

Bitcoin: Ask whoever stole them from you what they're worth.
Toronto RE: Never having to move unless I want to, and not paying rent anymore.

Losser are going to hate Bitcoin no matter what.
Bitcoin will disrupt every industry on the planet. Which industry will RE disrupt? Actually it will be target of disruption.
BitCoin in 2018 Dec : 1.5 Million USD (I wont be surprised if it performs better than this.)
RE in 2018 Dec : 730K CAD

I think digital currency will have it's place, but bitcoin will be nowhere near 1.5 million
