nothing interesting in buffalo at all. no restaurant to try there that is must go.
if you want cheap hotel..priceline is your best bet. but since you need it tom nite, you only get like one crack at getting it... best to check on prices on hotwire and subtract $10 and place the bid on priceline.

If there is a "must try" place in Buffalo, it would be Anchor Bar.

lol THNS..maybe next time! got your msg a day too late :X
buffalo was GREAT
stayed at COMFORT SUITES downtown buffalo..totally a ghost town.like there is NOTHING there
a few clubs etc..very 'dead' town..its like..nothing..not even fast food places..ate at a pizzario near our hotel..but its relatively close to all the malls..and i felt pretty safe too
used HOTWIRE to find the hotel..it cost us 59 for the suite (incl extra fees/taxes total 69)..great price..had a mini kitchen - huge queen sized bed..if not king.. - dining table - bathroom - vanity mirror thing - 2 tvs..
very impressed.i mean..its not 5 stars (it was 2.5) but very nice for the price and last minute too (booked a day in advance).
i asked and the suite should have cost 139 US..thanks for the HOTWIRE tip!
shopped at Walden Galleria (nice mall..like a big sherway gardens but double level)..Prime Outlets (solid deals - like a dixie outlet mall but nicer)..Broadway (like a parkway mall but single level).
some great finds that i'll post in hot deals.
THANKS For the help rfd'ers

How did you find the deals?
I went to Buffalo for Black Friday for .. "work" but we decided to stay overnight at Niagara on the Canadian side. Marriott was $70 for a nice room and we got upgraded to jacuzzi suites. We were worried about the border wait but decided to take a risk and it was great. Didn't have to wait 5 minutes to get across at around 10:30am. Good thing we stayed too as we did a bit of gambling and went on a crazy craps run. In 1 hour, I turned $100 into $550 so even with shopping I came back with more money than I started woot!
I found the deals very "meh" though I still spent $220. My favourite store at Walden is ***** 's sporting goods. Got myself an r580 driver for $100. The model is 2 years old but it's still a great club
One of the things I like to do there is go to the Olive Garden now that Toronto doesn't have it. Also now that Cheesecake factory is opening at Walden soon, I'll be going back for sure!_______________

BUFFALO: Been there before? help me out!
Hi,
I visit Buffalo regularly for shopping and was there for Black Friday, and the deals were awesome!!! It would depend on what exactly you're looking for or how long you are willing to wait in line to get it. Best Buy had great deals on laptops, computers, plasmas and lots more...but there were over 1000 people waiting in line at the store I went to.
A great place to stay in Buffalo is at the Marriott Buffalo Hotel near the Buffalo University. I stayed there on the Thanksgiving weekend for $99/night which included an awesome buffet breakfast for 2. Hotel also has an onsite restaurant/bar called Houlihan's which has great food and is equipped with giant screens to watched your favorite sporting events. The service and facilities at the hotel are great along with its great location. It's only 1 exit from Niagara Falls Blvd where you'll find all your shopping needs. Highly recommended!!!
