Buick has a better reliability record, and has 4yrs bumper to bumper warranty and the 160k km/5yr powertrain warranty. I think the 09 enclaves comes with the cts 3.6 DI engine, fit and finish is very good from what I saw. Mazda cx9 won the 2008 SUV of the year from motor trend. Fuel economy goes to Enclave. Pick the car you like instead of asking opinions from strangers![]()

I'm not big on the domestics (I don't HATE them though), but purely by looks I'd go for the Enclave.

how old are you? lol i see buicks as "mature" peoples car.. like 50+
if you still have kids that have to sit in the back seat, go with the mazda.
i love the look of the enclave though.. its really a coin toss. the mazda will probably last longer.

serious? im surprised a buick has better reliability record than the mazda

is it just these 2 cars or in general? and is it because theres a lot more mazda than buick so they have a higher number of ppl who get their car fixed?
i might just be stereotypical, always think that cars other than japanese, especially american cars, arent reliable at all ..

The Enclave is a rare sight. It also looks European, for what it's worth. Reminds me of a Cayenne.

A little broad and encompassing, but buick is pretty solid as a brand.

In this comparison, Enclave. I still remember seeing it for the first time at the car show two years ago, I couldn't believe that GM made a car with so much character and appeal. Buick also has great quality control - so they say.

Buick Enclave with a advertised price of 34000 (for FWD ? $7000 rebate)this crossover is worth looking into, esp since US prices are similar,ie Canadians are NOT being gouged on the Enclave.
Do you still get 0 % financing or 0.9 % as per gmcanada.com?

they are both nice looking cars...just from personal experience, the Buick rear has slight more storage, however with CUV this size for 7 ppl, you're not really buying it for that...LOL
for comfort of passengers, i would go with the Buick Enclave..my inlaw has one and has never been happier...previous reviews say that the Enclave (and i assume the Saturn Outlook & GM Acadia) have the best passenger confort for 7 adults....i think it was motoring or driving.ca that said it.. not sure...been awhile.
i like the fact that the Enclave 2nd row is captain chairs, meaning more confort for the passengers there...although i believe you can opt for a bench to have an 8 seater??
i was driving it a bit during the past week since the inlaws were away...was sad to go back to my '01 Jeep...LOL
edit: as a side note, had he not been able to jump successfully thru hoops to get his enclave in the states, he would have gotten the CX9 as his second choice with less cross-border hassleLast edited by sienna owner; Oct 6th, 2008 at 09:44 AM.
