If you get in, pay and leave unstuff Ied and come back Monday or after. They are giving a $10 off coupon as you pay that starts Monday. Save even more
I think they're slowly realizing what a mess they have created on their hands. How is it possible that nobody from corporate thought this could get out of hand with this kind of promo?

You need to film the chaos and upload to YouTube so the rest of us who missed out can enjoy the fun. Remember to use landscape mode lol.
RFD: Pick any two.

I knew this was going to be a disaster as soon as I got the first email announcing it. Parents going crazy over a cheap stuffy. Now I've seen it all.

I think they need to change it to a minimum of $10 a bear to reduce the chaos it would create.

Is CP24 on this? Someone shout RFD if they are filming =)

But yeah, this is the first time doing this, and while they should have been better prepared, I'm sure they will learn from this and can somehow make it better in the future. My only concern is, what is stopping people from going to every store during the birthday month promo?

I love the guy in the back with the black hood and smirk watching over the battle for free salt.
I'm more inclined to love the person with the full tablet out capturing the madness!

Sister in law TWO and a half hour wait. Almost at front of line. What a waste of a day. Go to buckstore or walmart buy a cheap bear and get on with the day. What a waste of a day. To each their own but my and my childrens time has value. I should go sell my bear to highest idi... i mean bidder. I am out enjoying my day and the fresh air. :)

This is exactly how their pricing structure should be.

Sell a printer for $20, but ink costs $40 each color

Make the add ons for the bear irresistible, and be $5 each.

BOOO. What are they going to do for us who didn't even get to the store? They announced the closed line ups at 8AM PST- our mall doesn't even open until 10! I was planning to go there around 9:00. Not going to bother if the line is closed.

True subscribers to Build a Bear or RFD effect?

I would literally have no knowledge of this deal without Redflag
Parent whisper networks are *strong*. They had to shut down events in the UK (which would obviously have no RFD effect), so it's just that BAB has a huge following.

It's in the press release that build a bear put out regarding this promo.

And here's the Build-a-Bear website about the new "Count your candles" program: https://www.buildabear.com/count-your-candles.html

Check out all those lines that people posted.

Also this crazy article that mentioned police were brought out Build-A-Bear shops stuffed amid offer chaos

I think they learned their lesson that many families with young kids would jump on this deal.
My advice to them is they should limit the quantity send out marketing/newsletter ahead of time next year to visit their site at a certain time and claim a quantity limited coupon people need to bring into the store rather than flood the store with a lineup and shoo people when they realize they can't handle the demand.
