My wife left for the mall at 9. She told me the line up is 200+ and that she was going home.....

On the way out of the Oshawa mall, my wife saw a mother and three kids leaving with bears. She asked them what time they arrived at and they said 7, holy cow...
LOL.... I just called my mom. She was just putting sub block on the kids to get them ready to go.

I told her to forget it... 200 people in line?! Since 7:00?!?!? LOL WUT?!

She's going to take them to the park instead.

Thanks RFD scouts!

@ vaughan mills. Dont enter through the LEGO entrance, just go directly to Nordstrom entrance, line begins there. 9:40am.
No no, please come in thru Lego entrance, it's entertaining to see the reaction of most people walking in now Smiling Face With Open Mouth And Smiling Eyes

True subscribers to Build a Bear or RFD effect?

I would literally have no knowledge of this deal without Redflag

Anyone think that after the morning crowds are done, maybe the afternoon or evening might be filled with people who didn't even know about the promo until they were in the mall?
Just food for thought

Like on Boxing Day, it isn't crazy ALL DAY

Square one is insane as well. What have I gotten myself into
It was bananas. I got there around 9:30 and when I saw the line going out the Mall (Near the TD Canada Trust)... maybe 300 meters or more from the store... I turned and went back to the car.

There's no way 2-3+ hours of my time = a stuffed bear. My daughter and I can spend some quality time on a beautiful summer morning doing something fun, and I'll buy her a bear some other time.

I think this was a pretty big fail on the part of Build-A-Bear. They should have made it a week-long event which you have to sign up and reserve a day/time for. I have Never been interested in Purchasing a Build-A-Bear until l heard about this promotion - and seeing how poorly this was executed - I probably never will.

It moves decently, up front at least. About a store jump forward every 10 minutes I guess?

The nice thing for other retailers is that Disney and Lego Store will probably make decent sales today, everyone lined up to gwt into Disney as it opened. So many strollers...

They should have done some vouchers online, this is very bad practice. These parents are forcing their children to wait for hours to save $10 on a bear.
