I am currently in the midst of building a new gaming PC and have for outlined most of the parts I want. Since I live in the GTA, I have only shopped from CC and NCIX before but I also heard that ME is good with computer parts pricing and stuff. Now I'm lazy and willing to pay the extra $50 (in NCIX's case) to assemble and test the system out. With that said, which of the three stores should I get to build my computer? Any suggestions or anyone with past experience with these 3 stores building a custom PC? Or even other stores maybe (I did look at cyberpowerpc but they don't ship to Canada).
Feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thanks![]()

I would go NCIX but don't pay $50 for the assembly option you can pricematch the assembly option down to $25. Use the below link from Infonec Computer services to pricematch it. I do it all the time and it's accepted.

how can you forget newegg?
personally id go with CC or NCIX.. at least they have GTA locations in case something goes wrong. its much easier to talk to someone in person to get what you want.

Thanks for all the suggestion so far folks. After doing a bit more research myself, I am starting to lean towards NCIX. Even though ME has better PM policy than NCIX, the $50 assembling fee from NCIX (which a previous poster said could be reduced to $25) includes an OEM Windows OS whereas it seems like a separate purchase on ME. Correct me if I'm wrong though.
As for specs, here's what I have so far, processor and motherboard might change but will either be an i5 or i7 (I'm being cheap and waiting for either ME or NCIX to have a nice bundle deal
). As it stands, approx $1.2k for the build. I'm a newb when it comes to putting the whole system together so feel free to make comments on how I could improve it (without spending too much extra money). Here's my list for now based on my NCIX list...
Intel Core i5 3570K Unlocked Quad Core Processor LGA1155 3.4GHZ Ivy Bridge 6MB Retail
MSI Z77A-G43 ATX LGA1155 Z77 DDR3 2PCI-E16 1PCI-E1 3PCI SATA3 DVI HDMI VGA DX11 USB3.0 Motherboard
MSI GeForce GTX 560 Ti Twin Frozr II OC 880MHZ 1GB GDDR5 Dual DVI Mini-HDMI DX11 PCI-E Video Card
Zalman Z9 Plus ATX Mid Tower Case Black 3X5.25 1X3.5 5X3.5INT No PS W/ Fan Controller & Temp Display
Coolermaster Extreme Power Plus 600W ATX 12V V2.3 Silent Power Supply 20/24PIN 120MM Fan
Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB SATA3 6GB/S 7200RPM 64MB Cache 3.5IN Dual Proc Hard Drive OEM
Crucial M4 SSD Micron C400 128GB 2.5IN Solid State Disk Flash Drive SATA3 6Gbps (may exclude this depending on budget)
G.SKILL F3-12800CL10D-16GBXL Ripjaws X 16GB 2X8GB Kits 240PIN DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 Desktop Memory
Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo Direct Touch 4 Heatpipe Heatsink AM2 AM3 LGA1366/1155/1156/2011 120MM
ASUS BW-12B1ST Blu-Ray Writer 12X BD-R 16X DVD+R SATA Black Retail
One thing I am concerned about is if the 600W power supply would be sufficient or not.

not bad
I actually recently built a similar gamig system but with a Zalmon Z11 case, since it was $9 more than Z9 + gigabyte mobo + Antec h20 heatsink + Antec green 650W PSU, I added my own 2TB HDD and I scored a sweet deal on a evga 560 ti classified. With some clever PM'ing you should be able to build a decent system under $1000 taxes in. I woulnd't pay for the OS. Keep in mind, your build @ ncix is still covered under hardware waranty if they don't install the os.
I plan on upgrading to a better vid card once the prices come down, but 560 ti should be good for a year or 2.
Do you mind posting how much your paying for each comonent so we can help out in terms of PM'ing.Last edited by Neovingian; Jul 3rd, 2012 at 11:25 AM.

Coolermaster Extreme Power Plus 600W? Seriously? No just no! Do yourself a favour and don't buy a cheap crap PSU. This is one the most important parts of the system. Get yourself Seasonic or OEMed buy Seasonic PSU. Coolermaster PSU is garbage.
