First of all, you have to make sure you have certain availability in your area. Most business locations depending on area might not have Rogers Service or Fiber. Second of all Teksavvy has 6/1 Unlimited DSL. it isnt 6/800.frogblender wrote: ↑Looking for cheap business internet with a fast upload speed ("fast" being 2mbps or better).
Shown is a chart showing prices and download/upload speeds.Rogers has 2MB uploads for the out-of-my-budget price of $110/mo; Shaw is much better (faster&cheaper) but is not avail. in Toronto. Anyone have any other ideas?Code: Select all

Currently have the 10/2 which was $20 off for the first year of a 2 year contract.frogblender wrote: ↑Rogers in Ontario now offers 30/5 for 79.95 (effective today, although their website still says 10/2).
The best I could swing was: $10 off for 1 year commitment, or $20 off for 3 year. Anyone do better?
Wondering if I can switch to the 30/5. I'd pay the full $80 for it....but maybe I can snag something.
Where did you see this deal? Just call in?

The 10/2 service is now (as of late-apr 2013) 30/5. Again, $20 off for 3 year (59.95+hst for 3 years). I had this installed 2 or 3 weeks ago and was promised 30/5, but I'm still stuck at 10/2.... they said 30/5 is currently being "rolled out", and I should have it "soon". My understanding is existing 10/2 customers should magically become 30/5 soon, no call-in required.

I had a Rogers technician about 2 weeks ago, he promised me that Rogers lie about their speeds, specially when you're past the 20mb mark.

I phoned Rogers, and they changed my 10/2 to 30/5 (which, on my last phone in, they said would be done automatically). So to reiterate, here's the state of the art for Apr 2013:
Rogers:
Rogers Business Internet Standard: $59.95/mo+HST, 3year contract, 30/5, no cap, free install.
Bell:
Bell offered 7down/4up for $40.05/mo+HST all in, $125 install for dry loop. 12 mo contract.
NOTE: MAKE SURE the install technician can promise the 4 upload. Bell has 100-year-old-wires all over the place (including downtown toronto), and often they can't handle above 1mb up. The bell sales office, of course, will lead you down the garden path and promise you anything to get you to sign.

I am looking to get business internet. What is the best available on 30mbps right now?
The best I see right now from rogers is the standard deal i.e. $65/month with installation fees waived on a 3 year contract?
Any suggestions on this?

Well, why do you need 30mb? To be honest, Rogers kinda rule that field so unless you are going with Bell, they are the only one that can offer you that speed.
They tried to get me back as a client a couple of week ago, they wanted to give me internet 30/5 and 2 business lines for $85 on a 3 year contract. He kept bragging that the price doesn't go up during those 3 years (not sure why he considers that to be a feature).
With 1 phone line i think it goes down to $75 but again, i don't want the contract so i said no.

FYI: I dumped rogers at the end of my 3yr contract. I went with start.ca: $50+hst/mo, cable, 30/5 300GB no contract, no startup fees, BYOModem (bought used off kijiji). Plugged in the kijiji modem the day after rogers ended, all is working, so far: excellent.
Note that this is start.ca's residential service, yet I am getting it in a business location.
