Buyers beware of ring009

He seemed like an honest, down to earth seller, posted his number and all. We even set up a meeting for the transaction to go down within in 20 minutes of his post.
We were scheduled to meet in Toronto at 6:10 on Saturday, October 8.

It seemed pretty good, and then I waited at the chosen meeting place and called plus texted to ensure he knew I was there.
10 minutes went by and no answer. I thought maybe he couldn't answer since he was driving.
20 minutes went by still no answer. I was starting to question if he was going to show.
25 minutes in I get a text saying something came up.

From when we spoke till then was less than an hour, I can't imagine much happening in less than an hour, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt.
I called and he said that we should reschedule for another day, and he'll message me when he finds out.
Kinda lame waiting for 25 minutes for nothing but that's okay.

Then I wake up the next morning and take a look around BST and there I see his ad edited at October 9 3:18am, and it had been sold.
I would understand if you told me and said someone else offered more, I would have raised my offer.
At least have the decency to tell the person, instead of letting them hang.

I love BST but it's jerks like this that make it hard for people to rely on BST Craigslist or Kijiji.

Thanks man, that's a good idea. I don't believe I'm allowed to leave negative feedback for a transaction that didn't happen. But I think situation's like this should be highlighted and documented somewhere right?
