buying a car from Ontario Fine Cars. Opinions
hi guys, i could really use your help on this one. I live in Vancouver, but I'm going to be buying a car from Torono to save money. Im 99% ready to buy a Jetta VR6 from Ontario Fine Cars in TO. Has anyone ever purchased a car from these guys? They want 400$ to inspect the car, but I really would rather pay a mechanic in toronto 100$ or whatever to go there and check it out for me. If someone could help me out it would be much appreciated.

I think that you are just asking for trouble. Buying a car from a distance is a bad idea. Besides, they will have to charge you freight. I would look around locally, and not even consider this.

Freight is only around 500$. I'm saving around 4000$-5000$ by buying it in Toronto instead of Vancouver.

If the difference is that big, I smell there is something fishy.

Go fly down there when there's a JetsGo promotion and drive it back
Though, that'll be crazy mileage and suck a lot of gas up hehe. It might be fun though driving your new car in snow 3500 km.

One thing I don't get is why people would buy the jetta vr6? Isn't it like 37.5K? For that price you could easily get a volvo s40 T5, subaru legacy gt, tsx, or (god forbid) a c230 coupe.
Surely the volvo, subaru, and tsx are superior cars to the problematic jetta and the tsx even costs less.
Just my two cents.

ok "dad". I didn't know you were buying a used car. I think this is the part where I'm supposed to say "my bad".
A used vr6 is fine. A new one... well... is a wee bit expensive in my books.
