Franchises make no sense now.

It used to be good back in the day... now big corporate businesses come in buying 10-15-20 units at a time. Now franchises want to sell a "territory" and now deal with multiple small businesses.

You can buy smaller establishments but not going to be as profitable.
you mean it is not profitable now? or other reason?

I have worked with financing franchises for 3+ years now, and I can say that there are some clear losers in the franchisee department. Many successful franchisees are now feeling the pinch with mandated pricing, hours, etc, whereby their costs keep going up with regards to ingredients or supplies, pushing the profitability down. If you're looking at international brands, also be careful of their presence here due to lack of advertising or support.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions regarding a certain franchise. I have a breadth of knowledge in what it takes to get financing as well.

Hi Ck2,

I would like to take up on your offer of asking some specific franchise related questions. Do you an email address I can contact you at?

Thanks,
D
