Hello guys, I'm looking to purchase a new/refurbished/used Macbook pro. It has to weigh less than 5 pounds, have a 13-15 inch monitor, and a 2.4Ghz Intel Core i5 CPU.
What are some places I should start looking? Is there someone that might have up for trade?
I have also never owned an apple laptop before, so some background/website/anticipation would be greatly appreciated! Thanks a whole bunch![]()

Are you a student? I priced out a 13" MBP in the education store for $1129 plus tax. It is 4.5 lbs, has 2.5 GHz i5 processor and 500 GB hard drive. If you order during their back-to-school event (on now until Sept), then you get a $100 credit for the app store.
I've always bought my macs new...the resale values are quite high...If I did buy used, I would probably get it from Apple's refurb store; they have the same one year warranty as the new ones. You might want to budget for applecare as well (you can decide within the year whether to get it). I never buy extended warranties for anything...except applecare. I haven't had any issues, but their tech support is awesome, should you ever need it.
