Buying Used Steelie Rims for Winter tires. Size?

I need 5 X 114.3 bolt pattern to fit 235/70R/16 tires for next winter as I am reluctant because of cost to keep changing summer to winter and back again on the alloy rims just because of the TPM.

How do I know if the rim is the correct size?
The seller said my tire size was on the rim and has a 5 bolt pattern. Asked seller if there are measurements on the rim. The only writing was Made in China. How do I check to see if the rims are what will fit?

Also is it not possible to put cheap hub caps on steelies?
Any help would be appreciated.

I have learned so much from this thread already.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

You need to confirm it is also 5x114.3 (or 5x4.5") no other bolt pattern will fit your car. Other measurements would be hub size (the rim can have larger hub but not smaller), offset and width. If the rim had your tire size already mounted it is most likely similar and steel rims are generally made to be universal.
