Buying winter tires from Costco and have them installed, do they bag your other tires
I am going to take my Dad's car into Costco to have them install and balance his winter tires that he bought online at Costo.ca.
Anyone know if Costco bags your other tires? Not sure what to expect, never had Costco install winter tires before.
If they don't, I'll bring some large garbage bags so that the car trunk doesn't get dirty.
Actually my dad's trunk is tiny, I don't think all 4 tires will fit in the trunk. Probably need to put a couple in the back seat.

I thought that they had plastic bags for wrapping, but I 'm not sure. You're better off bringing some Glads just in case. You might consider ducking inside the store while you're waiting and picking up a set of the Michelin tire covers/carriers. Worth the money, IMO.

Either way...bring a blanket just in case....even with the plastic bags, they would have been placed on a dirty floor at some point wrapped...yuck!

Every time I change tires at Costco, they wrap the other ones in their plastic bags.

Maybe a bit off topic, but where can I get plastic bags for tires? I bought those set used and no bags comes with it.
I have another set of summer tires w/o bags......They are 17" tires mounted on rims....not sure if the standard garbage bag is big and strong enough for them.....

I would put it in the garbage bags, but I would not pick it up by holding the bags as they would certainly rip.
I got the Michelin tire bags that have handles and hook together with velcro. Definitely strong enough to hold 16" with steelies.

I wonder if they'll start charging $0.05 per bag next June?

Most tire shops provide plastic bags for your 2nd set of tires, including Costco.
