has anyone gotten CAA to reduce the 7-day waiting period before you can do any service calls?

This is the deal, I'm heading east on a road trip on sunday afternoon, it was in my plans to join CAA but I just remembered today. So, if I join I won't be covered until next tuesday.
The chances of needing a tow truck during the first 2 days are very low, but still, I'd prefer to have peace of mind.

In the other hand, there's canadian tire which only has a 24 hours waiting period, but I'd prefer to go with the CAA.
