I want to put a crappy TV in my office.
Running into here is a cable spliced in two, one going to my cable modem and the other for Rogers home phone.
Can I splice either of these lines for use for a TV?

You're best to get a 3 way splitter, but it should work. Splitting the cable cuts the signal strength, so as long as you've got a good signal, you can split it several times. If it doesn't work, just return the splitter and put everything back.
